‘Cultural Heritage and UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goals: How Historic Buildings can be a Resource for Ecologically Sustainable Development’ Presentation by Ruth Redden on behalf of ICOMOS Australia NSCES, Tokyo, 19 March 2019
On behalf of the Australia ICOMOS National Scientific Committee on Energy, Sustainability and Climate Change (NSCES), Ruth Redden (M.ICOMOS) will present a lecture for the ‘Japan Consortium for International Cooperation in Cultural Heritage’ (JCIC-Heritage) on 19 March 2019, in Tokyo, Japan. JCIC-Heritage are holding a special event to further discussions on the role of cultural heritage within UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goals. The title of Ruth’s presentation will be “Cultural Heritage and UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goals: How Historic Buildings can be a Resource for Ecologically Sustainable Development.”
This is a great opportunity for organisations like ICOMOS and JCIC-Heritage to promote international cooperation, particularly within the Asia-Pacific Region, and advocate for conserving cultural heritage as a resource for truly sustainable development.
